NFL: RB curve sharpens after age 27, WR after 29, TE after 30, QB after 34. Superflex weights top-12 QBs 20-35% higher than 1QB.
NBA: Peak window 25-30. Category builds modify per-player value by 15-25%.
MLB: Pitcher decline cliffs at age 28-30, hitter peak 26-30. Prospect uncertainty discount scales with ETA.
Soccer: Peak 27-29. Forwards weight heaviest, then mids, then defenders, then keepers. Champions League aggregate provides 5-12% lift.
The live projections board is generated daily, not hand-typed. Every player's projected per-game output is the product of two factors:
ppg_projected = prior_season_ppg × age_curve_factor
Prior-season PPG comes from the nflverse open dataset, summed across roles so dual-threat players (a rushing QB, a receiving back) get full credit. Players with no prior usage — rookies — receive a position-mean baseline (QB 16, RB 11, WR 10, TE 7, K 8 PPG) so the board never shows a zero.
Age-curve factor centers on 1.0 inside each position's peak window and decays linearly outside it: −4% per year on the young side of the window (upside still developing) and −7% per year on the aged side (decline accelerates). The factor is clamped to the 0.5–1.1 range so no single input dominates. Peak windows: QB 28–32 · RB 24–27 · WR 26–29 · TE 27–30. Season totals assume a 17-game NFL regular season.
The IDP top-100 board scores defensive players from nflverse defensive stats under the industry-standard rulebook used by FantasyPros and DLF:
Players are filtered to a 4-game and 20-point floor to keep the board free of practice-squad noise, then ranked by total fantasy points across the season.
All derived boards — projections, IDP, the player news desk, and every live sport table — refresh on the same daily pipeline (06:00 UTC). The underlying open sources are re-pulled, the JSON is rebuilt, and the static site redeploys automatically. The live boards are always newer than any article written about them.
The four-analyst panel reviews every weight on the first Monday of each month. Change logs publish publicly. Material changes trigger an email to subscribers.
