The story
The most famous game in World Cup folklore. Four years after the Falklands War, Argentina met England in the Azteca quarterfinal. Diego Maradona scored two goals four minutes apart that captured both ends of football's moral spectrum: the "Hand of God" punch that referee Ali Bin Nasser missed, and the "Goal of the Century" — a 60-yard solo run past five English players, including Peter Shilton at the keeper. Argentina won the tournament; Maradona won the Golden Ball.
